Chandigarh Complex (Head Office)

  • A landmark five-storey complex located in Sector 35-B, Chandigarh.
  • Constructed with support from the Indian government’s Department of Culture (costing around ₹40 lakh), it was inaugurated on 22 February 1989 by sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Pracheen Kala Kendra.

Mohali Complex (Administrative Office)

  • Located in Sector 71, SAS Nagar (Mohali), this five-storey cultural complex was inaugurated on 12 September 2003 and embodies the founders’ grand vision Pracheen Kala Kendra.
  • Equipped with training rooms for music, dance, and fine arts; rehearsal spaces; reference library; art gallery; two modern auditoriums; a hostel for domestic and international learners; and a serene environment ideal for study and practice Pracheen Kala Kendra+1Pracheen Kala Kendra.

Cultural Programs & Educational Outreach

PKK is deeply active in cultural programming and scholarly initiatives:

  • Performance Wing: Organizes the longstanding All-India Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan since 1969. It also hosts monthly baithaks in Chandigarh (since 1996) and quarterly ones in Delhi (since 2013), along with the annual Guru M.L. Koser Festival of Music & Dance Pracheen Kala Kendra.
  • Research Wing: Dedicated to preserving rare compositions from maestros, and preserving folk traditions. It undertook notable projects such as documenting folk arts of Himachal Pradesh (Kullu and Kangra regions), and organized the Punjab Folk & Tribal Arts Festival (1991) and the All-India Kathak Seminars-Cum-Festivals (1994), covering the Jaipur, Lucknow, and Banaras gharanas Pracheen Kala Kendra.
  • Educational Outreach: PKK has expanded to offer after-school programs in karate, Hindustani music, painting, etc., aimed at immersing younger generations in classical arts, featuring certifications that carry recognition nationwide The Indian Express.
